Establishment of UCE&TW
It is the brain child of former vice-chancellor (B.Venkat Rathnam) of Kakatiya University. He is very much interested in education of girl child especially in the techincal side, with his effort this college has established. In the present era there is lot of potential for engineering and technical education. Many bright, intelligent and economically backward girl students are deprived of this technical education as there is no government women's engineering college in Warangal District and also in the entire Telangana region. Hence, Kakatiya University felt that an engineering college should be established exclusively for women to encourage and provide technical education to the girl students on a large scale and obtained permission to start University College Of Engineering & Technology For Women with 4 branches CSE,ECE,EEE and IT for the academic year 2013-2014, with 60 seats for each branch. Total intake of students in the year is 240. It is proposed to start another two branches of engineering i.e., Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering from the next academic years with an intake of 60 seats for each branch.
