At the very outset, since the inception of the Department of Training and Placement, the Department has acted as a core area in our college, complementing the efforts of the faculty members by organizing value-added programmes and providing placement opportunities to students. The department is constantly pitching different industries to build relationships and network with industry people for placements for our engineering students.

Today, the global employment market has changed from what it was even a decade ago. Organisations are not only looking for individuals with a prescribed skill set but, more importantly, for individuals with the aptitude to expand this required skill set in the course of their work. Companies now provide adequate work-related training to their employees themselves, but they require the recruit to be competent and able enough to imbibe that training quickly and effectively.

Soft skills are different from other skills in that they are the only set of skills that can never truly be crammed into anyone. These skills can only be polished at their best. No one can teach you how to behave, but a basic knowledge of social etiquette and professional protocol can go a long way in the corporate world.

As a part of its efforts to develop and strengthen its relationship with the corporate world, UCETW has delineated a long-term strategy to place students in prestigious organizations. "The goal is to help students build a long-term career with leading organizations and not just place them.”

The Department of Training and Placement arranges and coordinates various programmes that aim at moulding the students so as to meet industry expectations in career building and, in turn, bring laurels to the institution.

The department is open for students to meet, to interact, and to get all the support they need to build their careers. We are here to support you.

We at UCETW aim at the overall development of students by inculcating the required skills to get placed in a prospective company, thereby fulfilling the expectations of the parent community.
